Our Kiwanis club gives money to and participates in a variety of projects throughout the year that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children locally and worldwide. Additionally, we have speakers at our weekly meetings to explore topics of interest to the membership. We engage in a number of social activities to share experiences, talents and our collective interests. All represent great opportunities for service, friendships and personal growth.

Naples-On-The-Gulf currently supports:
  • The Eliminate Project - Through the Eliminate Project, Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus—a deadly disease that steals the lives of 34,000 innocent babies and a significant number of women each year.
  • Meals of Hope -The Mission of Meals of Hope is “To inspire and empower communities to come together to end hunger.” We distribute food to those who need it.
  • Casino Night - Enjoy a night at the casino while supporting The Boy Scouts of Naples.
  • Junior Achievement in a Day - JA helps students realize that the education they are getting today will help them to have a bright future tomorrow. JA's unique, volunteer delivered programs, show them all of the possibilities that lay before them. They realize they can choose different paths.
  • "Tom and Pete Teacher's Closet Fund"
  • Key Clubs - Freedom High School, Golden Gate, Immokalee,  and St. John Neumann High Schools
  • Beverly's Angels - Mission is to empower young impoverished children to achieve their potential to flourish by gifting basic essentials to help them unlock the magic within, Vision is to allow children to just be children, Movement is to abolish the hand me downs are good enough for those less fortunate. We give hope, respect and dignity to those in the most need of compassion.
  • Florida Drowning Prevention Foundation, Inc. - Mission is to prevent childhood drowning by funding swim lessons, FREE door alarms, community water safety education, layers of protection and to support Florida non-profit drowning prevention organizations and programs.
  • FGCU Summer Program - FGCU is a top ranked public university in Southwest Florida that offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs. FGCU students can graduate in four years with degrees including business, engineering, arts, sciences, health, nursing, education and more.
  • Nite to Shine - In six years, Night to Shine, through hundreds of churches and thousands of volunteers, has become a worldwide movement that is changing Valentine’s Day from simply a celebration of love by honoring people with special needs and the value of life.
  • Trinity Life Foundation - The Trinity Life Foundation (TLF) was founded on the principle of making a difference for at-risk minority children in Collier County. The TLF will act as a provider between the Juvenile Justice System (JJS) and local agencies who provide support systems for at-risk children in the community.
  • Torch Awards - supporting the Collier County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc and their community involvement.
  • NAACP Banquet - NAACP Mission is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights and there is no racial hatred or racial.
  • Book Vending Machine - Provided books to Book Vending Machine at Herbert Cambridge Elementary School.
  • Literacy Buddy - The gift of lteracy. A Literacy Buddy agrees to receive letters from a child in an early learning facility served by the Early Learning Coalition. The Buddy, in turn, sends a letter and high quality book in response to the child’s letter. This exchange takes place three times from mid fall to spring.
  • Bikes for Tykes - Founded in 1987, in Naples, FL, Bikes for Tykes® was developed from the simple idea that any child with a bicycle should receive that all empowering and memorable gift, even if their family cannot afford one.
  • Walt Kapinos Scholarship (past Naples-on-the-Gulf member) - deserving Key Club senior who completes the Application for a $1,000 Scholarship.
Signature Project
Inaugural service project, Kiwanis Comforts Kids, blanket project was a great success! We had 10 Kiwanians, 7 Immokalee High School Key Club students and their Faculty Advisor. We created 11 blankets which will be distributed to the Pediatrics Unit at Naples Community Hospital. We plan to get together quarterly, so join us and help our community’s children.

Current fundraisers:
  • US Open Pickleball Championship - We help with parking.
  • Annual Golf Scramble - Tee time is 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun format, 4-person scramble. Entry fee includes lunch and prizes. Players may sign up as singles, twosomes, threesomes or foursomes. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
  • Christmas Raffle - The goal of this fundraising event is to help 20+ needy community families have a merry and joyous Christmas holiday. The families in need will receive $500 Gift Cards. The club is selling only 200 tickets at $100 each for a chance to win a $3,000 1st Prize; $2,000 2nd Prize; and $1,000 3rd Prize.
