Over 50+ Kiwanians and friends had a dinner to honor Kiwanis Governor Tommy Mills and his lovely wife, Kim at the Vineyards Country Club. Each of the 4 local Clubs shared their fundraising events and successes. Mr. Mills gave a personal and inspirational speech. Kiwanis Membership is very important and his focus is literacy. Wynn Watkins coordinated the event and won the 50/50 of which he donated the winnings back to the Club.
We purchased a Brick for the Patriot Gardens in support of Veterans at Warrior Homes of Collier County.
Sage Events Catering gave 150 turkeys to Naples On-the-Gulf Kiwanis Club to distribute to those in need! Thank you to all who donated.
The sponsorship of an Aktion Club. Awarded $2,000 Grant for Aktion Club to attend their convention.
$3,850 given to Florida Drowning Prevention Foundation, Inc. for Aqua Ball, their major fundraiser.
$3,000 given to Golden Gate Marching Band so they can go to Atlanta and appear in St. Patrick's Day Parade.
$2,500 given to Beverly's Angels immediately to get 20 beds for children to get them off the floor. Donated $2,000+ for many years to allow them to continue their mission.
$2,500 was given to Boy Scout, Jonathan Rodriguez who has taken this unforgotten African American Cemetery (Rosemary Cemetery on the corner of Pine Ridge and Goodlette-Frank) as his Eagle Scout project. On March 7, 2026 he received his Eagle rank in a moving ceremony. His project was a very lengthy and thoughtful project honoring the remains and grave markers for those interred in Plot N of the Rosemary Cemetery. These people deserve dignity in death.
Over $30,000+ in $500 Gift Cards were given to needy families in Collier County to have a Merry Christmas. This was the 5th Annual Christmas Raffle. Tickets were $100 each with only 200 being sold. A $3000, $2000 and $1000 winner was selected. Gift cards were handed delivered by Kiwanis members.
11 blankets were delivered to the children of NCH North Naples Hospital Pediatrics Department to bring comfort during their hospital stay. The Kiwanis Comforts Kids project has been a great success. We thank everyone who participated.
